Why am I here?
Champagne Mobile Sauna began in one of those distinct moments when everything becomes clear, usually after life has split you open and forced you to see what matters.
Nearly two years ago I became a mother. Eight months later, I lost my mother following a grueling thirteen-year battle with Scleroderma. Learning to become a mother while grieving my own was both disorienting and transformative and continues to be every single day. It forced me to consider the bigger picture. Why am I here and what do I want to do with this time? What kind of energy do I want to hand out to the world around me?
I set out on a quiet little journey to understand life. In between parenting, a full-time career, and all the other joys and complexities of life, I questioned. I read. I listened. I talked. I watched. I breathed. I walked. I meditated. I did what I could.
Then, one morning while on a trip with friends, I went to a sauna just like this. I found simplicity, warmth (a lot of warmth), and peace. Looking out to the ocean, something clicked. In that heat, I felt connected to my friends, to my breath, to myself. It was the first time I’d felt true tranquility.
That experience stayed with me. How do I recreate that? Why aren’t we all doing this?
I realized that sauna isn’t just a wellness practice. It’s a ritual that forces you to slow down, reconnect, and listen to yourself.
Champagne Mobile Sauna is our way of offering that tranquility to others.
And it’s how I honor my mother by choosing to live intentionally, joyfully, and with an open heart. It’s my way of creating something meaningful for our family to grow with. It’s my way of creating more positivity.
And I hope it can offer you your own moment of stillness, too.
